Under eye treatments are advanced cosmetic procedures designed to rejuvenate and refresh the delicate skin around the eyes by reducing puffiness, dark circles, fine lines, and hollowness. Using specialised formulations containing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptides, and antioxidants, under eye treatments are administered through precise injections to target specific concerns in this sensitive area. This non-invasive procedure is ideal for individuals seeking to achieve a brighter, smoother, and more youthful appearance under the eyes with minimal downtime.

Who can have Under Eye Aesthetic Treatments?

Under eye aesthetic treatments are suitable for individuals looking to improve the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, fine lines, and hollowness under the eyes. These treatments can be beneficial for a wide range of people who wish to rejuvenate the delicate under-eye area and achieve a more refreshed, youthful look.

Skin Type:

Under eye treatments are appropriate for most skin types, including normal, dry, oily, and combination skin. However, individuals with certain skin conditions, such as active infections, severe inflammation, or allergies in the under-eye area, may not be suitable candidates. A consultation with your provider is essential to assess your skin and ensure treatment suitability.

Age:

Under eye aesthetic treatments can be beneficial for individuals of various ages. They are commonly sought after by individuals in their 30s and older who are beginning to experience signs of aging in the under-eye area, such as fine lines and volume loss. However, younger individuals may also benefit from these treatments if they have genetic dark circles, puffiness, or early signs of fatigue.

Skin Concerns:

Under eye treatments are particularly effective for addressing specific concerns such as dark circles, puffiness, hollowness, and fine lines around the eyes. If you struggle with these issues and wish to improve the overall appearance of your under-eye area, these treatments may be suitable for you.

Medical History:

It’s essential to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or medications you are currently taking to your healthcare provider before undergoing under eye aesthetic treatments. Certain medical conditions or medications may impact your eligibility for the procedure, and a thorough consultation will help ensure the best possible outcome.

Expectations:

It is important to have realistic expectations for under eye treatments. While they can significantly improve the appearance of the under-eye area, individual results may vary based on the severity of the concern and how your skin responds to the treatment. Multiple sessions may be necessary to achieve the desired results.

How often should I have Under Eye Aesthetic Treatments?

The frequency of under eye treatments depends on the specific procedure and the individual’s needs. Results can last anywhere from several months to a year, depending on the treatment. A series of treatments may be recommended initially, spaced a few weeks apart, to achieve optimal results. Periodic maintenance treatments may be necessary to maintain the desired appearance. Your provider will advise you on the best treatment plan based on your unique concerns and goals.

Aftercare

Proper aftercare is crucial to ensure the best results and a smooth recovery following your under eye aesthetic treatment. Follow these guidelines to help protect your skin and promote healing:

First 24 Hours:

- Avoid washing your face, applying moisturizers, or using any makeup around the treated area. Allow the skin to rest and heal undisturbed during this time.

12-72 Hours Post-Treatment:

- After 12 hours, mineral makeup may be applied if necessary, but continue using a gentle cleanser and a hyaluronic acid serum to maintain hydration.
- Apply SPF daily to protect the delicate under-eye area from sun exposure. A chemical-free sunscreen is highly recommended to prevent irritation.

48-72 Hours Post-Treatment:

- You may return to your regular skincare regimen after 48-72 hours. For optimal results, consider incorporating retinol products into your routine to enhance skin texture and support collagen production.

Avoid the Following for 10-14 Days:

- Refrain from using alcohol-based toners or any products that could irritate the sensitive skin under your eyes.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure for at least 10 days to prevent pigmentation changes or damage to the treated area.

3 Days Post-Treatment:

- Do NOT use any skincare products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs), Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in low pH formulas), or any other "active" ingredients that may be too harsh for the healing skin.

1 Week Post-Treatment:

- Avoid saunas, baths, swimming, or any activities involving excessive heat or moisture that could interfere with the recovery process.
- Refrain from using scrubs, exfoliators, or any abrasive products in the under-eye area to prevent irritation.

Strenuous Activities:

- Limit strenuous exercise for 1-2 days post-treatment. Gentle activities are fine, but high-intensity workouts should be avoided to allow your skin to recover effectively.

By adhering to these aftercare instructions, you will help ensure a smooth recovery and long-lasting, refreshed results from your under eye aesthetic treatment.
