Body Contouring.

Body contouring treatments are advanced cosmetic procedures designed to sculpt and refine the body by targeting stubborn fat deposits, enhancing skin tone, and improving overall body shape. Using a range of techniques such as fat freezing, radiofrequency, or ultrasound, body contouring helps address concerns like localized fat, sagging skin, and cellulite. These treatments work by either breaking down fat cells or tightening the skin’s underlying tissues, allowing the body to naturally eliminate fat and firm the skin over time.

Who can have a Body Contouring Treatment?

Body contouring treatments are suitable for individuals who are looking to refine and sculpt their body shape by targeting stubborn fat, enhancing skin tone, and reducing the appearance of cellulite. These treatments are beneficial for people who are near their ideal weight but have specific areas of the body they wish to improve, such as the abdomen, thighs, arms, or love handles.

Body Type:

Body contouring treatments are suitable for a range of body types, particularly for those with localized fat deposits that have not responded to diet and exercise. However, individuals with significant weight to lose or certain medical conditions may not be suitable candidates. These treatments are designed to contour and enhance, rather than to replace weight loss efforts.

Age:

Body contouring treatments can be beneficial for adults of various ages. Typically, individuals in their 30s and older seek this treatment to address changes in their body shape, skin laxity, or persistent fat. Younger individuals may also benefit from body contouring if they have specific areas of concern that do not respond to lifestyle changes.

Body Concerns:

Body contouring treatments are particularly effective for individuals who have specific concerns about stubborn fat, sagging skin, or cellulite in localized areas. These treatments can help refine and enhance the natural contours of the body, providing a more toned and defined appearance. If you have these concerns, body contouring treatments may be suitable for you.

Medical History:

Before undergoing body contouring treatments, it is essential to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or medications you are currently taking to your healthcare provider. Certain medical conditions or medications may affect your eligibility for the procedure or influence the outcome of the treatment.

Expectations:

It is important to have realistic expectations about the results of body contouring treatments. While they can provide visible improvements in body shape and skin tone, individual results may vary depending on the area being treated and your body’s response. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired outcome, and it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle to preserve the results.

How often should I have a Body Contouring Treatment?

The frequency of body contouring treatments will vary depending on the specific treatment method used and the individual’s goals. Most providers recommend a series of 3-4 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart to achieve optimal results. The results from body contouring treatments can last for several months, and with proper diet and exercise, they can be maintained for even longer. Periodic maintenance sessions may be recommended to help sustain your contoured appearance.

After Care:

During the first 24 hours, do not wash your face or use any moisturisers or makeup.

12-72 hours post-treatment mineral makeup can be applied, but continue to use a gentle cleanser, hyaluronic acid serum and SPF. A chemical-free sunscreen is highly recommended.

After 48 to 72 hours following treatment client can return to regular skin care regimen. Retinol products are strongly suggested to use for optimal results.

Avoid alcohol-based toners for 10-14 days as well as excessive sun exposure for 10 days.

For at least 3 days post treatment, do NOT use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare.
No sauna, baths or swimming for 1 week.

No scrubs or exfoliators for 1 week.

No strenuous exercise for 1-2 days.
